Join us at Pichet on 6th April 2025 for an exclusive evening of culinary excellence as we welcome Michelin-starred chef Stefan McEnteer from the esteemed Bishop’s Buttery at Cashel Palace for our next Friends of Pichet event. For one night only, Stefan will collaborate with Pichet’s Executive Head Chef Harry Quinn to create a bespoke six-course tasting menu, expertly paired with a selection of wines.
Having recently earned a Michelin star as Head Chef of The Bishop’s Buttery, under the leadership of Director of Culinary Stephen Hayes, Stefan brings a wealth of experience, passion, and skill to the kitchen, crafting a menu that blends contemporary Irish flavours from the landscape with classical techniques. As Pichet celebrates 16 consecutive years of holding the prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand, this event is a rare opportunity to experience the combined talents of two of Ireland’s leading chefs.
Originally from Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, Stefan’s culinary journey has taken him from training under Neven Maguire and Derry Clarke to leading one of Ireland’s most celebrated kitchens at The Bishop’s Buttery. We are hugely excited to collaborate with Stefan and his team for what promises to be a significant event in the Irish foodie calendar.

About Chef Stefan McEnteer:
Stefan’s career trajectory saw him working in some of the most prestigious kitchens in Ireland and abroad. He honed his skills at L’Ecrivain, the Michelin-starred restaurant led by Derry Clarke, before joining the team at The Bishop’s Buttery at Cashel Palace Hotel in 2022. Quickly recognised for his creative flair, Stefan was promoted to Head Chef in 2023, where he led the kitchen to earn a coveted Michelin Star within a year. Michelin praised Stefan’s ability to deliver refined dishes that balance technique and flavour, with top-quality Irish ingredients taking centre stage.
Stefan McEnteer’s culinary journey is a testament to dedication, precision, and an unwavering passion for food. Hailing from Kingscourt, Co. Cavan and studying in Dundalk, Stefan’s rise to becoming a Michelin-starred chef is rooted in a remarkable career that began with a strong foundation in culinary education. Even during his time as a student, Stefan’s talent was evident – he representingat the Knorr Student Chef of the Year competition and secured gold and silver medals at the Catex Chef Ireland 2015 competition. His early experiences included placements at renowned establishments such as MacNean House, working under the legendary Neven Maguire, and a summer position at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston.

His leadership at The Bishop’s Buttery has established it as one of Ireland’s premier dining destinations, blending contemporary Irish cuisine with classical techniques.
